About the site
This site was built in preparation of the Engineering Mechanics Institute 2017 Conference Located in San Diego.Working with the Structional Engineering Chairs at UC San Diego and ASCE, I created a system that allowed students and professors from all around the world to submit their abstracts to present at the conference. Once their abstracts were submitted, the leaders of each topic had custom tools that I created to allow them to review the abstracts to provide feedback to the individual. Once the feedback was provided, they were then allowed to approve or deny these abstracts.
Once the abstracts were approved, the users were allowed to proceed to the payment portal located at RegOnline to pay for their registration fees.
The site uses Bootstrap as its responsive framework, and PHP in order to interact with the backend which was created specifically for this conference.
